Mablethorpe is a popular traditional seaside resort boasting beautiful blue flag beaches and has plenty to do for all tastes and ages.
The wide, flat sandy beach stretches for miles both north and south of the town, there are numerous cafes, coffee shops and eateries in the town alongside everyone’s seaside favourites such as fish and chips, donkey rides, rock shops, candy floss and amusement arcades and a pirate crazy golf overlooking the beach. There is a market on a Thursday, as well as a small cinema in town and an Aqua park just outside the town.
About thirty minutes away is the beautiful market town of Louth which offers a weekly market on a Wednesday, Louth is a bustling town with lots of independent shops to browse around, it also has a theatre and is close to Hubbards Hills which is a popular and beautiful area for walking.
Heading in the other direction is the small friendly town of Alford which has a small museum and many antique and collectable shops to browse around.
About forty minutes drive from Mablethorpe is the larger town of Skegness, here you will find some of the larger stores and supermarkets in the main town, Skegness aquarium and funfair on the promenade as well as a model village and other attractions, there is also a busy theatre and a nightclub called the hive for those who would like to dance the night away.
Just outside of the town there is a stadium where banger racing is held on a regular basis.
Fantasy Island is the big dipper thrill park where one wristband covers all rides so makes the fun more affordable, this is found in Ingoldmells where a daily market runs under the fairground and spreads across the road.
Our local beach in Theddlethorpe is a quiet beach even in the height of summer and is surrounded by sand dunes with nice walks, The beach is approx 15 minutes walk from the pods and if you are an early riser you can catch the most outstanding sunrises.
Theddlethorpe is part of the Lincolnshire coastal path and is the first of several King Charles lll England Coastal paths planned around the country.
We are also within easy driving distance of the Lincolnshire Wolds which is an area of outstanding natural beauty.
